Tsyatsko Margarita Alexandrovna began her career at the Aksai branch of the Institute of Nuclear Physics in 1998 as a Laboratory Assistant in the Chemical Analytical Research Group.

In the period from 2000 to 2005, during large-scale studies of the state of LIRA facilities and adjacent territories conducted by the institute, she acquired extensive practical experience in the studies of environmental objects by the methods of chemical and physical-chemical analysis. The methods of gravimetric, titrimetric and photometric analysis were mastered, and significant practical experience was gained in collection and preparation of samples of soil, plant, surface natural waters, industrial waste and hydrocarbon raw materials.

In 2010, she successfully graduated from the West Kazakhstan University of Engineering and Technology with a degree in “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances”.

In 2012, she was transferred to the position of Engineer at the Laboratory of Integrated Research of the Aksai branch. In the position of Engineer Tsyatsko M.A. continued to develop competencies in the field of physical-chemical methods of analysis: atomic-emission analysis, gas chromatography, potentiometric analysis, spectrophotometry and others.

In 2018, she became the Leading Engineer of the Laboratory.

In addition to the methods of physical and chemical analysis, methods of gamma- spectrometric analysis, liquid beta-spectrometry, and radiometry of ionizing radiation were added to the range of professional skills.

From July 1, 2023, she was transferred to full-time employment in the position of Acting Head of the Laboratory.

Tsyatsko M.A. manages the laboratory's chemical analysis activities. Within the framework of the Program "Integrated Investigation and Monitoring of the LIRA facilities", she is the responsible person for several sections. She is also responsible for a number of commercial works.

A significant number of production and working instructions were developed and introduced in the laboratory under her direct participation. She has repeatedly taken advanced training courses on analytical control methods and quality control.

Tsyatsko M.A. is a competent specialist, constantly improves her knowledge and shares experience with subordinates. She is a disciplined specialist, a sociable and friendly person, respected in the team.

Laboratory for Integrated Research

The Laboratory for Integrated Research of the Aksay Branch of the INP was established to perform effective monitoring work on environmental objects. The activities of the laboratory are associated with determination of radiation and physical-chemical parameters of various objects and natural environments.

The laboratory operates the full range of equipment necessary for the comprehensive study of radioactive contamination and conducting monitoring of the radiation and ecological conditions of the environment.

The laboratory conducts the radiation spectrometric measurements to control the content of gamma-active isotopes in various environmental samples (soil, water, plants) and technological process objects (waste, raw materials, building materials, etc.) in the laboratory conditions and detection of gamma-ray emitting radionuclides in the field conditions.

Determination of the total activity of alpha- and beta-emitting radionuclides in countable samples as well as the beta-spectrometric determination of the content of tritium in water samples are carried out in the laboratory. For subsequent analysis, the laboratory’s employees can conduct the radiochemical concentration of radionuclides.

The laboratory has modern equipment for physical and chemical analysis: atomic-emission spectrometry, UV-VIS spectrophotometry, fluorometry, electrometry, gas and liquid chromatography enabling to:

- monitor the parameters characterizing the state of the environment, - determine the nature of pollution of the studied objects under the anthropogenic impact,

- identify the causes of environmental pollution.

The main control methods include:

- monitoring of the quality of drinking water in order to determine its compliance with the standards,

- control of physical and chemical properties of soil, underground water and water of open water reservoirs,

- control of pollution of soil and ground with oil products, heavy metals and products of combustion of hydrocarbon products,

- control of the air environment.

To obtain information about the qualitative and quantitative compositions of the studied samples, a large number of chemical, physical-chemical and physical methods are applied additionally or independently. Choice of an analysis technique depends on the specific analytical task.
