On December 13, the Institute held a Seminar on the formation of anti-corruption culture. The Seminar focused on one of the important areas of the Institute of Nuclear Physics' activities - anti-corruption policy and its monitoring in accordance with the approved internal regulations on combating corruption.
As part of the monitoring of conflict of interest risks, the following issues were considered:
• On the work on declaration of conflict of interests (for example, whether employees reflect information about close relatives working in the Enterprise),
• Whether there are organizations related to the Institute's employees among suppliers of services, goods,
• Whether there are facts of working in direct subordination of close relatives in one structural subdivision, and what measures are taken by the management and compliance officer to resolve the conflict of interest. There were also suggested ways to resolve conflicts of interest by disclosing information on conflicts of interest during employment, transfer to a new position and filling out a declaration of conflict of interest. A decision was made to continue work by management to resolve conflicts of interest: rotation, changes to job descriptions, employee training and etc.
Particular attention was paid to the Corporate Code of Ethics, which took into account the fundamental corporate values of the Institute: objectivity, transparency, responsibility, patriotism, respect for the rights and interests of stakeholders, the principle of safe working conditions, comprehensive counteraction to corruption and fraud, the principle of preventing and resolving corporate conflicts and disputes interests. These issues relate to the fact that every employee makes decisions every day that can have financial and reputational consequences for the Enterprise, and also influence people and society.
