During a working visit to Dubna, Russia, Sayabek Sakhiyev, Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, had the meeting with Professor Radoslav Rashkov, Deputy Dean of the Physics Department of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski."
During the meeting, Professor Radoslav Rashkov presented his experience in implementing a master's degree program in nuclear security under the auspices of the IAEA. The parties discussed the prospects for exchanging experience and developing educational and scientific cooperation.
The Institute of Nuclear Physics, jointly with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, is considering the possibility of opening a master's degree program and implementing joint educational initiatives in nuclear and radiation security.
Since 2017, the Institute has operated a Nuclear Security Training Center, equipped with modern classrooms and a specialized training site for practical and field training. The center is considered a key platform for the implementation of specialized educational programs and advanced training for specialists.
