On December 5, 2022, a meeting of the specialists of the RSE "Institute of Nuclear Physics" of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by the General Director Sayabek Sakhiyev was held with the Director of the LLP “Instruments of Kazakhstan” Igor Pokrovskiy and the Manager of “Thermo Fisher Scientific” (EBVA) Detlef Peters.

First of all, Sayabek Kuanyshbekovich expressed his gratitude to the Director of "Instruments of Kazakhstan" for sponsorship provided for the IV International Forum, held from 26 to 30 September 2022, timed to coincide with the 65th anniversary of the Institute. During the meeting, the guests were solemnly awarded with the Medals "65th Anniversary of the Institute".

The General Director Sayabek Kuanyshbekovich informed about the strategic plan for development of the Institute of Nuclear Physics until 2030, in particular, he noted one of the areas of development - production of doped silicon at the Institute.

• “Today the specialists of the Institute of Nuclear Physics have mastered the method of neutron transmutation doping (NTD) of silicon as the result of joint work with the Japanese Corporation “Chiyoda Technol Corporation”, and we are going to introduce it into practice in the future works so we are looking for sponsors. In the future, this method can be used for certain components of electric vehicles,” said the General Director.

In general, the method of neutron transmutation doping of silicon is widely used in the technology for manufacturing devices in the electronic and electrical-technical industries. This is one of the most important technological processes in the production of semiconductor devices.

It should be noted that in order to equip the laboratories of the Institute with scientific instruments, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, the LLP “Instruments of Kazakhstan” and the American Company “Thermo Fisher Scientific” have been cooperating for more than twenty years.
