Physical Protection Maintenance Fundamentals Training Course was conducted on May 16-20, 2022 in the Nuclear Security Training Center, INP, within the framework of nuclear security cooperation between the Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defense and the Government of Kazakhstan (Global Nuclear Security Program).
The purpose of the course is to train Kazakhstan specialists working in physical protection units, teaching features and methods on the basic principles of PPS maintenance. The training course consisted of a theoretical part, practical and demonstration exercises.
Based on the training results, 11 Kazakhstani specialists from CAESC, NNC, UMP, INP, MAEC-Kazatomprom, responsible for the physical protection of the nuclear facilities received certificates of successful completion of the course.
