The International Scholarship “Bolashak” is 30 years old. A festive Forum dedicated to the anniversary of the International Scholarship took place today in Astana. An exhibition of scientific achievements was organized in the framework of the Forum presenting 11 innovative projects covering various fields of science and industry. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova and the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek had sight of the projects.
At this exhibition, the Institute of Nuclear Physics was represented by the General Director Sayabek Sakhiyev, who informed about radiopharmaceuticals produced by the Institute, which are a breakthrough in nuclear medicine.
The Institute of Nuclear Physics is the main manufacturer of isotopes for medical application in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is a scientific and production base for the full R&D cycle from the development of technologies for producing and quality control of new radiopharmaceuticals to mass production.
The Forum was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duisenova with a welcoming speech on behalf of the President of the State, congratulating the program graduates on the 30th anniversary of the “Bolashak” International Scholarship.
“This is a significant milestone for the program, which has become a social elevator for young people from different parts of our Motherland. Over the past years, the project has contributed to creation of a human resources reserve in the country with advanced knowledge and competencies. Today, thousands of graduates of the “Bolashak” program are successfully working for the benefit of Kazakhstan, acting as agents of positive changes in many areas. The state will always support talented, hardworking, purposeful youth who follow the ideals of “Adal Azamat”. I am confident that graduates of the “Bolashak” program and all young professionals in the country will contribute to the large-scale and comprehensive transformation of Kazakhstan” - said the President.
The International Scholarship "Bolashak" has existed since 1993 and during this time more than 12.5 thousand young Kazakhstanis became scholarship holders and were able to study at the best universities in the world. With independence, Kazakhstan began to need highly qualified personnel, scientists and specialists who would reform the country and lead it to development and success.
