INP hosted an all-institute Seminar
On the 5th of January 2023, the RSE Institute of Nuclear Physics hosted an all-institute Seminar. This Seminar was held in a mixed format (offline/online) and was attended by researchers from the RSE INP, as well as the JINR (Russia), INP (Uzbekistan), the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan). Reports were presented by the scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP).
The researcher of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems (JINR) Lyudmila Kolupaeva made a report on the theme "Neutrino physics at JINR today". In her report L. Kolupaeva presented to the staff of the Institute the works that are performed within the framework of the neutrino program at JINR. She has made presentation about the main properties of neutrinos and the most urgent unsolved problems in the rapidly developing research area.
In the second part, the researcher of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems (JINR) and junior researcher of the INP Baimukhanova Ayagoz made a report on the theme "(p, 4n) reaction to obtain 86Zr by protons of medium energy and development of the radionuclide generator 86Zr/86Y". In her speech, A.Baimukhanova told about modern methods of application and technology for radionuclides production for nuclear medicine application. The report gave examples of the technology for production of the most used in nuclear medicine radionuclides in the generator systems and the methods of generators production.
At the end of the Seminar, participants asked their questions to the speakers within the framework of the report theme.
