“Nuclear Material Accounting and Control Inspection Techniques” Training Course was organized from February 14 to 18, 2022 at the Nuclear Security Training Center, INP, within the framework of nuclear security cooperation between the Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defense and the Government of Kazakhstan (Global Nuclear Security Program).
The purpose of the course was to familiarize with the principles and methods of planning and conducting inspections for nuclear material accounting and control, to train the practical skills in conducting inspections at nuclear facilities. During the training course, the US and Kazakhstan instructors conducted the theoretical and practical exercises on planning, conducting an inspection, analyzing the results and preparation of the final report.
The course was intended for supervisors and managers of the state authorities and atomic energy enterprises. As a result of the training, 15 Kazakhstan specialists were presented certificates of successful completion of the course.
