The meeting between Sayabek Sakhiyev, Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Plenipotentiary Representative of Kazakhstan to the JINR, and the staff of the National Group of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The main issues were discussed in the course of an open dialogue:
- Position and Prospects of Kazakhstan Scientists in JINR
- International Cooperation and Joint Projects
- Initiatives and Proposals of Young Specialists
Sayabek Sakhiyev responded to the questions, presented the future plans and emphasized the importance of active participation of Kazakhstan scientists in the global scientific process, which offers new opportunities for the national science.
At present, more than 80 Kazakhstan scientists and specialists are working at JINR. They are represented in all laboratories of the Institute and conduct research in such fields as nuclear and neutron physics, accelerator technology, radiation materials science, information and cloud-based technologies. Kazakhstan scientists actively participate in major international projects of MEGA Science and make contributions to cutting-edge research.
