The Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev met with the president of "Ostro Minerals" (Switzerland) Maurice Samuel Ostro.
The "Ostro Minerals" company expressed interest in the products of the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP) of the Ministry of Energy - radioactive isotopes for industrial and medical purposes (radiopharmaceuticals).
During the meeting, documents were signed between the INP and Ostro Minerals on investing in developments conducted by the Institute.
It should be noted, that the INP produces radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, as well as radioisotopes for industrial use. The institute produces 90% of the total volume of radiopharmaceuticals in Kazakhstan supplied to medical institutions of the country.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan conducted a series of negotiations to attract investment to the INP to expand the range of industrial and medical radioisotopes produced at the Institute, as well as to increase exports to European countries.
In 2022, the INP supplied its products to Germany for the first time.
