During the working visit to Geneva, the General Director of the Institute, Sayabek Sakhiyev met with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the office of the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Erlan Alimbayev.
During the meeting, the participation of the Institute of Nuclear Physics in the NA62, DRD1, DUNE collaborations and the visit of the Institute’s delegation to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) were discussed.
This week, a delegation of the Institute led by the General Director visited the world's leading organization - the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and got acquainted with the work of experimental vaults and areas. The contribution of the Institute’s staff and their active participation in the ongoing sessions in collaborations was also discussed during the visit.
It should be noted that in June last year, one of the most important steps for national science was signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Nuclear Physics and the European Organization for Nuclear Research on participation in the NA62 experiment.
