On April 15, 2022, the delegation of the US Department of Defense Threat Reduction Agency visited the RSE “Institute of Nuclear Physics” (INP) of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation included: D. Fishman, Project Manager of the Global Nuclear Security Program, D. Bissel, Security Consultant to the Global Nuclear Security Program, Culmen International LLC company A. Dubrov, DTRO-RCO Deputy Director at the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan, S. Kolmykov, Program Coordinator, DTRO-RCO at the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan, A. Vasiliev, Director of the URS Federal Services International Inc. branch in Kazakhstan, S. Korban, Operations Manager of the URS Federal Services International Inc., Sh. Abdykhalikova, Project Coordinator of the URS Federal Services International Inc.
RSE INP was represented by D. Janseitov Acting Director General, A. Bekbayev Scientific Secretary, M. Tulegenov Chief Engineer, S. Aitbayev Head of the Physical Protection and Regime Department, M. Kaliakparov National Guard, N. Izmailova Head of the Nuclear Security Training Center and M. Idrissova Head of the Training Unit, NSTC.
During the visit, a working meeting was held at the Nuclear Security Training Center of the RSE INP and issues of cooperation within the framework of the DTRA’s Global Nuclear Security Program were discussed.
