The Institute of Nuclear Physics and the Faculty of Science of “Tanta” University (Egypt) will continue to collaborate on scientific research in the field of experimental and theoretical atomic, nuclear physics, as well as interdisciplinary applications and related disciplines.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today by the Director General of the Institute, Sayabek Sakhiyev, and the President of Tanta University, Mahmoud Ahmed Zaki.
Also, as part of this agreement, the Institute and “Tanta” University plan to conduct joint research, exchange experience and current scientific and technical information, as well as train personnel for the nuclear industry.
The Institute already has a history of cooperation with “Tanta” University; in 2012, the specialists from the “Tanta” University Sherif Hamada and Akhmad Amar defended their PhD dissertations based on research work carried out at the INP under supervision of the Professor N. Burtebayev in the framework of cooperation with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
“Tanta” University is one of the largest universities in Egypt, with more than 100 thousand students. The university is considered one of the best in engineering and technology, biomedical sciences, which is confirmed by the QS rating. The independent ranking Times Higher Education highly evaluates the University, ranking it on 1001 place in the top universities.
