On December 11, as part of a working visit to Moscow, the Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP), Sayabek Sakhiyev, visited the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (MUCTR), one of Russia’s leading engineering and technological universities, specializing in human resources training and research in chemical technologies, advanced materials, biotechnology, and industrial energy systems.
The purpose of the visit was to expand scientific and technical cooperation between the two leading research institutions. During the visit, a meeting was held withEldar Magomedbekov, Director of the Institute of Materials for Advanced Energy and Nanotechnologies at MUCTR.
The discussions focused on prospective areas of collaboration in radiation technologies and nuclear medicine. Particular attention was given to the development of joint educational programs and the training of highly qualified specialists for the nuclear industry.
During the visit, Sayabek Sakhiyev became acquainted with the university’s research infrastructure. He was presented with MUCTR’s advanced laboratories, including radiochemistry facilities, and was shown a modern radionuclide generator and other unique installations used in both scientific and applied research.
The working visit confirmed the mutual interest of both parties in strengthening their partnership and implementing joint projects for advancing science, technology, and human capital development in the nuclear sector.
