Today, in order to discuss further cooperation within the framework of the Nuclear Human Resources Training Program, a delegation from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA, NuHRDeC) visited the Institute.
The Japan Atomic Energy Agency has been contributing to the development of human resources in the field of nuclear energy in Asian countries for more than 25 years, applying knowledge and experience in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. An important aspect of human resources development program is disseminating the knowledge acquired during the ITC courses in the native countries via FTC courses. Under the Agreement signed between the INP and JAEA, the Institute’s specialists conduct joint scientific research, participate in seminars and attend the ITC courses “Reactor Engineering”, “Environmental Radioactivity Monitoring”, “Emergency Preparedness” at the JAEA (NuHRDeC) in Tokai and Tsuruga.
During the bilateral meeting, Yoshihiro Nakano, Director of the Nuclear Human Resources Development Center (NuHRDeC) and the participants discussed cooperation between the INP and JAEA for the development of nuclear human resources in Kazakhstan.
The ITC and FTC programs were discussed for instructors training in the specific fields for the Asian countries.
