The Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP) and the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) have signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation aimed at establishing partnership relations and fostering long-term, effective, and mutually beneficial collaboration in the fields of education and science. This cooperation is focused on advancing priorities such as forming the country’s intellectual elite, establishing effective partnerships to ensure the quality of education, training competent and competitive specialists demanded in the labor market, implementing the State Program for the Development of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as promoting innovative and scientific-technical cooperation in the implementation of joint research and technical development programs.
The document on bilateral cooperation was signed by the Director General of the Institute, Sayabek Sakhiev, and the Chair of the Board and Rector of EKTU, Saule Rakhmetullina.
This agreement provides opportunities for the INP and EKTU to collaborate through the exchange of experience and research outcomes in the fields of innovation and scientific-technical activities, the organization and implementation of joint educational and scientific events, as well as the execution of research projects within the framework of grant and program-targeted funding.
During the visit to EKTU, the INP delegation toured the “Smart Engineering” Competence Center, the VERITAS Excellence Center, and the “Golden Altai” Museum. INP Director General Sayabek Sakhiev spoke about the Institute’s scientific and experimental facilities, international cooperation, and planned mega-science projects. EKTU Chair of the Board and Rector Saule Rakhmetullina provided insights into the university’s activities and achievements.
Both parties are confident that this partnership will bring new prospects and opportunities for the development of science and education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists, contributing to the country’s further progress and economic growth.
