On February 6, the Institute of Nuclear Physics held its first meeting of the Academic Council this year. During the meeting, key issues related to the Institute's personnel, scientific, and organizational development were discussed, and a number of decisions aimed at implementing strategic priorities for 2026 were approved.

The Academic Council approved the Institute's work plan for 2026, defining the main areas of scientific, innovative, and organizational activities, with an emphasis on the development of scientific research, international cooperation, and improvement of the management system.

The meeting also included a ceremony handing over keys to rooms in the new dormitory to the Institute's employees. This dormitory is the first housing infrastructure facility built at a research institute in the post-Soviet period. Sayabek Sakhiyev, Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics, presented the keys to 18 employees selected by the Housing Committee.

The modern dormitory is designed to provide comfortable living conditions and create a favorable environment for the professional activities of the Institute's employees.

One of the main items on the agenda was the change in the composition and election of the chairperson of the Institute's Council of Young Scientists. The Academic Council approved the new composition of the Council, with Gulnur Zhumakhanova, a leading specialist in the Strategy and Sustainability Department, unanimously elected as its chairperson.

Today, the Council of Young Scientists unites 15 young researchers and plays an important role in developing the scientific potential of young people, as well as engaging them in the Institute's research and public activities.
