A general scientific seminar was held at the Institute. This seminar was held in a mixed format (offline/online), which was attended by researchers from the Institute and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia). The seminar featured presentations by Nazarov Kuanysh, Head of the INP Neutron Physics Laboratory, and Timur Atovullaev, a research intern at the JINR Laboratory of High Energy Physics.
Nazarov Kuanysh made a presentation on the topic "Creation of a new neutron reflectometry facility at the VVR-K research reactor." In his report, he described in detail the method of neutron reflectometry, the main types of reflectometers, and the VVR-K research reactor.
Timur Atovullaev made a presentation on "Reconstruction of tracks in the Si and MWPC detector system for the SRC - 2022 experiment". In his report, he shared the results of the working group on the study of CDK in the BM@N experiment. He spoke about the work done and calculations, as well as the future plans of the working group.
