The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament Askhat Aimagambetov, as well as rectors of universities, heads of research institutes and subordinate organizations of the Ministry, directors of school institutions.
At the board, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek noted the systematic work on popularizing science and scientists of Kazakhstan. To motivate the scientific community, the average salary of scientists has been doubled. Direct funding of research institutes engaged in fundamental research has been introduced.
A bill on science and technology policy has been developed and submitted to the Majilis.
